User-generated content is one of the best (and cheapest) forms of content marketing you can use for your brand strategy.

No matter how small or new your brand is, there are people out there talking about you, and you want to engage with these loyal, happy customers to get them back while showing other opportunities that you have a solid fan base behind you.

People love to talk about products that reflect their lifestyle through social platforms. User-generated content – the content they create – helps spread the word about your brand and you can use it to your advantage.

What is UGC?

User-Generated Content (UGC) refers to photos, videos or reviews that customers publish on their own feeds about your brand or products. The ideal UGC is when a customer who loves your product poses positive feedback about it or your company through their own social channels.

In principle, your customers create their own content about you, content that your brand can then publish and reuse as a way to spread the good news about your offers.

What makes UGC so unique is that users don’t just leave a review or give you feedback. They actually go out of their way to create content about your brand. It can help build a deeper level of engagement and interaction with new target groups.

UGC is not the same as influencer marketing, although the two are similar. Influencer marketing is when you partner with an individual (or individuals) to create a mutually beneficial marketing campaign. Kim Kardashian is seeking $ 10 million in damages from app manufacturer iHandy for allegedly using one of her Instagram posts without permission for marketing purposes, according to a lawsuit filed Wednesday in California’s highest court.

  • The 14-page complaint accuses iHandy of “obvious and estimated abuse, unauthorized use and fraudulent commercial exploitation” of a two-year Instagram photo from Kardashian.
  • iHandy allegedly used Kardashian’s photo in Instagram ads to promote her Sweet Camera makeup photo editing app, according to the complaint, by leveraging Kardashian’s fame to attract new users.
  • Kardashian is seeking $ 10 million in damages for “loss of monetary compensation” and emotional damage.
  • The complaint found that Kardashian is being paid for her sponsored Instagram posts – and her mom Kris
  • Jenner said in April that each Kardashian post costs six digits.
  • It also served up a slight nuance: Kardashian “does not use, does not like nor supports” the Sweet Camera app.
    iHandy did not immediately respond to the request for comment.

“By using [Kim Kardashian’s] photography, image and persona in the app ads without consent, iHandy, and its associates saved millions of dollars in [Kim Kardashian] advertising and marketing services without paying for it,” the complaint reads.

Surprising fact: iHandy allegedly did not know that the woman on the Instagram photo was Kardashian, “one of the most famous and most famous women in the world,” according to the complaint.

Instagram DOWN – Thousands of users complain about App not Working

 

INSTAGRAM is down for thousands of users around the world in a mystery outage.

The app seemingly stopped working for large numbers of users at around 3.30 pm UK time.

Instagram down – what has happened?

According to online outage tracker Down Detector, thousands of users began to experience problems Wednesday afternoon.

Most of the users complained that their news feed was not refreshing and that stories were not updated.

A live-outage map suggested that today’s power outages are worldwide, affecting users in the UK, Europe and the US in particular.

Until we hear directly from Instagram it is impossible to say what caused the interruption.

Instagram offline – what are users saying?

Users have flooded Twitter to complain about the outage.

One frustrated user said: “Instagram is more than the ice cream machines at McDonalds.”

But some were satisfied with the break.

One Twitter user wrote: “Hopefully Instagram stays down until November 1st so people can’t post pictures in their stupid … Halloween costumes.”

Instagram said in a statement: “Earlier today, a networking issue caused some people to have trouble accessing Facebook’s family of apps. We quickly investigated and have nearly fixed the issue. We’re sorry for the inconvenience.”
