COMPARE ONE POST

Judge a post against its own account baseline

A global average can hide differences in audience size and content. This analyzer compares one selected recent post with the same account’s recent visible-like average and ranks it inside that sample.

One-post focus

Choose the exact post you want to understand from the latest public content.

Account baseline

The post is compared with the same account’s recent average rather than an unrelated global number.

Visible signals only

The analysis uses public likes and follower count; private reach, saves, and shares are not guessed.

HOW TO USE IT

Analyze a recent Instagram post in three steps

Start with the username, then choose the exact post after the recent sample loads.

1

Enter the account username

The tool loads up to 12 recent public posts and calculates the account’s visible-like average.

2

Choose one recent post

Select the thumbnail you want to inspect instead of combining every post into one account-level result.

3

Compare it with the baseline

Read its visible likes, percentage above or below average, sample rank, and likes divided by followers.

INTERPRET THE COMPARISON

What above- or below-average performance means

The comparison points to posts worth studying. It cannot explain causation on its own, so inspect the content and timing behind the number.

Above the recent average

Review the topic, opening frame, caption, format, and timing for patterns you can test again.

Below the recent average

Compare the post with stronger items in the same sample before changing strategy based on one result.

Remember the missing signals

Public likes exclude reach, saves, shares, profile visits, and conversions available only in account insights.

COMMON QUESTIONS

About this free tool

What does the post analyzer compare?

It compares the selected post’s visible likes with the recent-post average, its rank in the sample, and the account’s follower count.

Why are reach, saves, and shares missing?

Those are private account insights. The analyzer labels only the public data it can verify.

Can I analyze an older post?

The tool currently lists only the latest public sample for the username. A post outside that returned sample cannot be selected.

How many recent posts can I choose from?

The tool requests up to 12 recent public posts. The returned sample can be smaller when fewer usable posts are available.

How is the selected post like rate calculated?

The tool divides the selected post’s visible likes by the account’s current public follower count and multiplies by 100.

How is the post ranked?

Posts in the returned recent sample are ordered by visible likes. The rank is limited to that sample and is not an all-time account rank.
